Symmetry Art

We did this activity today that I found on Pinterest. The kids loved it! I really recommend it. The kids made beautiful math designs. You'll need pattern blocks, rulers, and desk space or floor space. 

We reviewed vocabulary such as: symmetrical, not symmetrical, congruent, reflection, horizontal line of symmetry, vertical line of symmetry, and diagonal line of symmetry. 

If you have time the last few weeks of school or looking for low prep end of the year math activities, this one is totally worth doing!
